Ms Dhoni IPL 2023 News
MS Dhoni retired from international cricket in 2020, but continues to play for CSK in the Indian Premier League 2023.
It is no secret that MS Dhoni has been the most successful Indian cricket captain ever. He won three ICC trophy during his time at the helm of Chennai Super Kings. Dhoni, who retired from international cricket in 2020, has remained a constant for CSK in the IPL 2023. IPL 2023 might be MS last, there has been widespread speculation. It is no secret that Dhoni and CSK have received immense support, whether it’s in Kolkata, Jaipur or Lucknow. MS himself has declared that this is the ‘last phase’ of his career, but neither Dhoni and CSK have confirmed this officially.
Danny Morrison asked MS the following question at the toss of the IPL 2023 match against Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow: Clearly this wonderful swansong tour, your last. How are you enjoying it?
Ms Dhoni Replay to Danny Morrison
MS Replay: You have decided it is my last (smiles). Not me. It’s under covers and it looks tacky, so we’ll look to bowl first. You have to see all conditions and venue conditions. For us, Deepak Chahar is fit, so he replaces Akash (Singh).
KL Rahul Injury
KL Rahul, the regular captain, is out of action with a serious thigh injury, so LSG all-rounder Krunal Padya is currently leading the side. The captain of CSK, MS won the toss and decided to bowl first against Lucknow Super Giants.
But due to rain, the match could not be completed and both the teams got one point each.
