As a result of Shubman Gill’s maiden T20I ton against New Zealand in the third and final match of the series, he was crowned series MVP.

Maiden T20I Century ‘Gill

Shubman Gill demonstrated that he has a place with the T20 internationals, scoring his first century in the format in the third and last T20I of the series against New Zealand. Gill, who had broadly scored a double century in the ODIs against the Kiwis prior, arrived at the triple-digit score in the T20I format for the first time his career. Gill finished his 100 runs in only 54 balls, turning into the fifth Indian to score a T20I hundred.

Most High Score Indian T20I International ‘Gill

Gill, who finished his innings at 126, has now enrolled the most high score for an Indian in T20 internationals. Earlier, Virat Kohli held the record for scoring the most high score for an Indian in T20Is. Kohli had scored an unbeaten 122 against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup. Gill outperformed him in the match against the Kiwis.

Gill continued his fine form and scored 126 not out off just 63 balls with 12 fours and seven sixes against the New Zealand bowlers at Narendra Modi Stadium.

India won by 168 runs
